Gary is from Portland, Oregon and he is 52 years old. He has wanted to be a professional sled dog racer since 2000. He has been mushing for 2 years and in 2005 he set a 6 year goal and qualification plan to compete in the 2011 and 2012 Iditarod races. The Lincoln/Seeley Lake 200 will be his 3rd distance race.
